Hit the Road Jack....

Now that I have just typed that title, I'm gonna be singing that in my head all morning! :)

Today's kit all about one of our favorite past-times... the good old fashioned Roadtrip. It's about that time of year we pack up the kiddos and hit the road for some familytime. So I have a new collection all about that, along with companion pieces to help you create memories of those times on the road.

Roadmap Collection Biggie

Roadmap Alpha & Word Art
The titles included are fairly large. I like them also overlayed on top of large photos too. There are also other photo overlays, a journaling box, some tags, customizable labels & a map alpha.

Roadmap Emebllishments
The journal itself has a layer you can change so you can add one of the coordinating papers or a photo from your own roadtrip. One of my favorite pieces are the peanuts. Seems they are always crushed down on the floorboard in my case. I would have also added cheetos, but the hey.. they didn't match the color scheme ;)

Roadmap Papers

Roadmap Paper Details
The papers are mostly simple, with some fun maps included. They are old maps of course. One of North America, and 2 in Europe. There are also old license plate papers (America for one and the other showcases countries outside the US, mostly Europe, but also Australia and China.

There are a couple of companion pieces to this kit... a brush set and set of US License plate tags.

License Plate Tag Embellishments
The tags ore not too big, they are just what they say, little tags to accent your pages. All 50 States are included plus the nation's capital, Washington DC. Each tag showcases the State Name, The State Slogan (or popular slogan) and the part of the country it is located.

Brush Set: Roadmap
This brush set has some fun elements like the speedometer and small compass rose. It also has very thin outlines of North America & Europe. Honestly, my favorite brushes in this set are the dashed and dotted lines. Those 2 brushes are Dynamic. What does that mean? Well, it means as you drag the brush across the page it follows you to add either a dotted or dashed line. For those of you who use programs other than Photoshop a png of a full line is included for each one. (Plus PNGS of all the other brushes)

Tip:
If you want to make a perfectly straight line with these, try holding down the "Shift" key as you drag and it will be completely straight. If you want to make it follow a route, then I use the "Pen" tool to make my path (clicking along the way to make my turns), then create a new layer, go over to the paths window and hit the drop-down box and choose "Stroke Path" (make sure brush is chosen) and wa la! For curves you can do the same thing (use the pen tool) or stroke it around a custom shape.
