Cast Shadow Frames 2: Adding Interest to your Layouts

Hello fabulous people! I'm in such a good mood today, it's beautiful outside and the magnolia tree outside my back window is about to bloom for the first time this year! It's still a little too cool to keep the windows open, but the sun is shining in and that is always a good thing here in The Netherlands.

This week I have set 2 of Cast Shadow Frames. This set will allow you to add a bit of visual interest to your scrapbooking layouts and photobooks.

What's the difference? Well, take a look at the image above  Cast shadows can add depth to your layout. Add a little extra light effect from ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Lighting Effects for even more drama.

Basically I needed some new shapes to add to the original set of Cast Shadow Frames. I was missing one basic rectangle and I needed it for a photo for a layout. Then I thought it would be fun to have some of the geometric shapes that are so popular right now, like triangles, hexagons and of course a diamond shape like the one you see above.

The great thing about them is that they are fun and you can use them with any type of layout, from traditional to art journaling pages.

Next week watch for a new Breaking Down the Layout video tutorial on animation in layouts. This is for PS & PSE users so stay tuned! If you would like to see the other videos in this series, you can check out my YouTube Channel.

I hope you all have a wonderful Easter! Next week I will also have some Easter JIFFY layouts for all the pictures you took.

He has risen!
