A Vintage Collection - Gypsy Rose

Gypsy Rose is a vintage digital scrapbooking & photobook collection of fun bright colors and patterns reminiscent of the 40's & 50's. It's color palette is Cherry Red, Teal & a Yellow Green.

This collection was inspired by my hairdresser Carlos. I know that sounds strange, but he was nominated for the Coiffure Awards and was showing me some fabulous photos of modern versions of hairstyles from the 40's & 50's. Well I already have been wanted to do a cherry red & teal collection, so that just put it in the the right theme. I hope you have fun with my interpretation!

Video Tutorial & New Blender Templates

Hi all, I'm back this week with some new Background Blender Layout Templates and the newest addition to the Breaking Down the Layout Video Tutorial Series "Breaking Down the Layout #7".

First we'll take a peek at the new templates. These are part of the Background Blender family of products and I wanted to add some 2 page spreads to the group. So this set of (5) Double page spreads is new this week.
ScrapSimple Digital Layout Album Templates: Background Blenders
These come in PSD Photoshop files as well as PNG files so users of other imaging programs can still use them. They are all 24x12. You can use them as double pages or break them up to form single 12x12 layouts.

The text layers in the templates are editable in the PSD layered files. If you would like to use the script font I used in the templates, it's called "English" and you can find it free on the web.

Note: I set the font kerning (the spacing between the letters) to -75 for the title, so you might want to set that back to 0 if you use another font.
This template was kinda set up to mix a black and white Photo with a color Photo. That is why in the template you see a blender across the middle of the right side.

Here's a closer look at that:

Here's another sample of how you might use it:

These templates are on sale this weekend so grab them at their special price!

Primavera a Soft Spring Digital Collection

The Primavera digital scrapbook and photobook kit is reminiscent if a spring morning, when the earth's colors are still cast in the blue tint of the early sunrise. Well that was the inspiration for the color palette.
Primavera Collection
The title came from my friend Dominges who is from Cabo Verde where they speak Portuguese. She taught me that "Primavera" means Spring. I thought is was a pretty word.

Included in the Collection:

Also Available:
Value Pack: Primavera
Digital Layout Templates: Primavera
Primavera Frame Clusters
There is also the Value Pack with all the add-ons included for a special price. This weekend you can get the Value Pack for a little less than the normal price of just the collection. Or you can just get the add-ons, they are also sold separately.

These are my favorite pieces in the collection. I really especially love the full paper length tapes. They come in handy when you need to separate parts of the page and they do it in a subtle way.

Layout Ideas:

This set also filled a color niche needed in my collection of products that was eliminated with the year end retirement of several kits.

I hope you enjoy it and are hoping for spring like me! The little crocus are starting to peek out of the ground here in The Netherlands ;)

Have a wonderful weekend!
