A Masculine Digital Scrapbooking Kit

We were having a design meeting one day with Debbie Cleek, the owner of Scrap Girls and we were talking about ideas for new things. She was mentioning more masculine kits and how most of our kits that we considered "manly" were defiantly designed by a woman. She's right. I went back to look at a the very few of my collection for guys or themed for men and sure enough, I could see what she was talking about.

Manmade masculine digital scrapbooking Collection
Though 99.9% of digital scrapbooking designers are women, we have a fair amount of memory keepers in the world of the male persuasion. In fact I've been contacted by a few dads asking questions about this and that..therefore I know they are out there. So..... I tasked myself with trying to create a collection for guys with a different perspective.  What's the best thing to do? Look at the man closest to you and for me that would be Jeroen. A modern guy, with traditional roots with an interest in technology & photography. He was my inspiration for "Manmade". I hope you like it.... not one flower or any floral designs... I have to tell you, it was not easy for me...LOL

Focus digital scrapbooking reticles
Focus Embellishments is a set of 6 focal reticles in PNG and Photoshop ABR (Brush) formats. Great for overlaying over images and behind clusters for a very smart look to your digital scrapbooking layouts and art journals.

Value Pack:

You can get all 3 sets together and save some money in the Manmade Value Pack Selection. You can grab this whole set for the intro price of $9.43 this weekend only!

Plus when you select this option, you'll pick up a free layout template made from the"New York" layout sample shown with the collection.

The idea behind this is to choose 3 photos that coordinate or tell your story. One close up, one at a normal range and one for far away. In this case I chose a photo of the Statue of Liberty, a close up of a viewer from atop a tall building and a landscape of New York. Combining these photos with an overlay effect makes a fun background for your scrapbook. Come to think of it, it's a good idea for a cover for your printed scrapbook.

Thanks Diane von F├╝rstenberg (& design team) for the idea for this layout. If you happened to catch her show "House of DVF" this year, you'll see how I was influenced for this layout. PS I lover her style!

Manmade Photoshop Styles:

There is also a Photoshop Style set for this collection available separately. It's got some really useful everyday styles like vellum, acetate & wood PLUS 2 photo overlay patterns that really go well with the Manmade Collection of products. Note: the overlay styles look best on darker photos and don't show up so well on very light ones.

This set is also available in a Commercial Use version

Some of you may ask why it isn't included in the Value Pack and that is a very understandable question! The reason we don't do that is because these are for Photoshop & Photoshop Elements ONLY. Since not everyone uses these programs, they wouldn't benefit everyone.
