Old Hollywood Themed Digital Scrapbooking Collection

I've been busy creating a new collection for you this week that has a fun Old Hollywood theme. I had so much fun with it and hope that you will too.

I designed it to work well with not only Vintage Layouts, but glamorous ones as well. Such as: Prom, Weddings, Photo Shoots, Beauty Pageants and Formal Events. Or things like Dance. If I had a little girl in a tap costume, I'd have definitely used it with this collection! LOL

Here is a closer look at what is included in the Old Hollywood Collection Biggie:

There is also a Old Hollywood Paper Mini that has a set of 6 specialty papers.

This set includes:
  • Old Film Countdown
  • Embossed Gold Cut Out
  • Circlet Paper
  • Art Deco Black and White Stripes
  • Dressing Screen and
  • Ribbon Pin Board (this comes in 2 pieces)
So....... when we have Old Hollywood, we need fun lighting effects. This week I also have ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Lighting Effects 2 Biggie.

It's really easy to use these templates. Basically they are overlays for your layouts. I like to use them over the whole layout for some fun effects. Sometimes it's subtle and sometimes (depending on the layout) it can be quite bold. The trick is to change the blending mode to overlay or soft light (except for the Sparkle Overlay), then adjust the opacity of the lighting layer.

In the image above you can see some of the effects. They also look good over just your photos.

Since these all went together I packaged them in the Old Hollywood Value Pack, which can really save you some money.

Lilly is always dressing up (just like her Mama Jessica) So I think I will will be getting a lot of use out of this collection with her.

This layout shows how you can use vintage photos and make them shine.
Have a little "Star" in your family? Fun embellishments like these cateye opera glasses and sheer curtains make for some great layouts.

I wanted to show you it wasn't all about the dolls in your family, but guys too. If you get your guy to dress up and you are like me, you want to scrap it. I don't get to see it too often. ;)

Because the color palette is very neutral, adding pops of color from your other collections is really easy. This one uses pieces from the Nassau Collection.  This is especially great with weddings because every bride has her own colors.

This is a sample from the Old Hollywood Paper Mini that has some specialty papers. This is the gold embossed cut out. This paper is great for portraits.
This layout shows blending of the papers on a black and white photo. The "Beauty Queen" title is a pre-made cut out.
Here you can see the dressing screen paper. It has the pretty vintage fabric pattern, but this set also has a photo mask so you can insert either your own paper or photos.  You can also see a bit of the window lighting effect in this layout and sparkles. Both from the ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Lighting Effects 2 Biggie.

Lilly would dress up everyday if the child could. This is her sporting a "new do" courtesy of her Mama. I wanted to show an example of using the ribbon pinboard as well as some lighting.

Uses for the "The End" word art can be used at the end of your scrapbook or video. This sample also uses the Searchlight Overlay from the ScrapSimple Paper Templates: Lighting Effects 2 Biggie.

Well that is all for this week. I hope that you get some good ideas for your scrapbooks. Have a great weekend!
